This publication provides you with a basic structure to cater for your students, your teaching, admin and support staff, and your parents. It will show you how the various sections of your portal can come together to form an integrated gateway to your school with targeted content, remote access and with options for MIS integration.

For each area, it sets out the permissions, webparts, navigation, lists and libraries that you may wish to consider. and shows you how to set them up as you go along.

It is set out in a sequential fashion so that you can work through it from start to finish, and can stop at any point and return later.

Use this specification as the basis for your SharePoint implementation, and then build on it as you develop further skills, confidence and knowledge.
